Born and raised in Florida, Mrs. Tamisiea graduated from the University of Notre Dame then spent ten years living in Dallas, Texas, working as a Child Life Specialist. Her husband David's work brought them to North Dakota where they and their six children discovered a thriving Catholic community. After homeschooling for thirteen years, Mrs. Tamisiea was naturally attracted to the Montessori method, having been a Children's House student herself! For the past three years, she has enjoyed working at St. Joseph's Catholic Montessori School in multiage classrooms where independence, self-discipline and individualized learning are cultivated. Most importantly however, she is grateful to work in schools where the Catholic faith is so well integrated and celebrated. Mrs. Tamisiea looks forward to assisting in the Atria of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd at Christ the King and St. Joseph's this year. Outside of school hours, Mrs. Tamisiea enjoys attending her children's various events, hanging out with her husband, and stopping into adoration for time with Jesus.
